Real Madrid's winger Extends Regret to The Madrid Club Supporters

Los Merengues winger Vinicius Jr has apologised to supporters for his reaction when replaced in the recent heated Clasico clash triumph.

He was replaced in the 72nd min and expressed his disappointment by going straight to the dressing room.

He subsequently came back to the bench and, following his club's 2-1 victory, sought to engage Barça's youngster Yamal during contentious final whistle incidents.

"Today I want to apologise to all the Madridistas for my response when I was replaced in the big match," the player shared on social media.

"Similarly to I have previously expressed during the latest training, I also want to express regret anew to my team-mates, the organization, and the leadership.

"Sometimes passion overcomes me because I always want to triumph and assist my club. My winning mentality originates in the love I feel for this institution and everything it symbolizes."

He joined Real from Brazil in 2018 for a significant fee and has scored over a century of strikes in 335 appearances.

But his career in the La Liga is unclear with reports in recent months indicating that Los Blancos would consider permitting the player leave if they were to receive a good proposal.

When he was substituted on the match day, broadcast footage from network the platform recorded him stating: "It's always me! I'm departing the side! It's preferable if I go, I'm leaving."

In his latest post on X, Vinicius commented: "I promise to keep striving constantly for the benefit of Los Blancos, as I have done since the initial arrival."
